Children’s Rights

Did you know that Australia has agreed to the Convention on the Rights of the Child?

This means that every child has rights so they can grow up safe, healthy and happy. Each year we celebrate these rights in National Children’s Week.

This section of the Toolkit shares information about children’s rights. It also gives ideas and tips to include these rights at playgroup and to help all organisations plan Children’s Week events.

Take a look through this section and if you have any questions or would like support, contact Playgroup Tasmania on 1300 035 350 or admin@playgrouptas.org.au

Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa/pakana people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
